This policy explains how Janset at janset.app handles information when you visit our website or use the music visualizer editor.

Your files stay on your device

Janset runs entirely in your web browser. Audio files, images and video exports are processed locally on your computer and are never uploaded to our servers. We have no access to them.

What is stored in your browser

Your current project (layer settings, text and any images you added) is autosaved in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Songs you add to the playlist are kept in this browser's storage (IndexedDB) so your playlist is still there after a reload; removing a song or clearing site data deletes them. Projects you save with “Save project” are downloaded as files to your computer.

Accounts

Janset has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name or email address.

Optional analytics and cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XWQHJGKEXR) to understand how visitors use Janset and improve the website. Google receives usage information such as pages visited, visit times, browser and device details, referring websites and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google states that Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. This analytics information is separate from the audio, images and project data you create locally.

Analytics is off until you choose “Accept analytics.” If you choose “Reject analytics” or leave the banner unanswered, we do not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics requests to Google. Both choices let you use the full editor. We keep advertising consent denied and disable Google signals and advertising personalization in our tag configuration.

When enabled, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_XWQHJGKEXR to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. These cookies expire after up to two years and may be renewed on later visits. See Google's explanation of Analytics cookies.

We store your accept or reject choice and its date in local storage under janset-cookie-consent for 180 days, then ask again. This preference is stored on your device and is not sent to an analytics service. If browser storage is blocked, the choice applies only to the current page.

Change or withdraw consent

Use Cookie settings here, in the website footer or in the editor to change your choice. Choosing “Reject analytics” after previously accepting stops further Analytics collection for this property and removes accessible Analytics cookies on this site. It does not erase data already received by Google. You can also delete browser storage and cookies through your browser settings; deleting all Janset site data also removes your saved projects and playlist.

Google services

Google processes analytics information under its own policies and may process information outside your country. How long analytics data is retained depends on the settings of our Google Analytics property and Google's policies. Google Fonts serves the typefaces used in the website and editor. Your browser requests stylesheets and font files from Google, which receives your IP address and request information. These font requests happen independently of your analytics choice.

Hosting

Janset is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested URLs and request times, to deliver the website, protect it from abuse and maintain reliability. This happens independently of optional Analytics consent. Cloudflare may process information in other countries; its retention and handling of service information are described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to processing, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us using the address below for questions or requests. Because we do not have accounts or access to your locally stored files, we may be unable to associate analytics information with a particular person. If you email us, we use the information you provide to respond to your request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our services or data practices change. The date above shows the most recent update. Material changes to analytics purposes will require a new consent choice.

Children

Janset isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
